Battle of the Boroughs with WNYC

Ever since I was a kid I’ve listened to WNYC, in my opinion New York’s best radio station.  Every year the station holds a battle of the bands, with a bit of a twist- it’s a battle between the best bands in each of New York’s five boroughs.  This Friday, March 6th, we’re competing with seven other bands to represent Brooklyn in the final battle on March 27th.

The show is at The Greene Space, WNYC’s live performance space, and it runs from 7-9.   We’re the last band on the night so we fully expect to bring the house down after everyone’s been warmed up.

A few tickets are still on sale but everyone everywhere can watch live on their site during the show and after it on the Greene Space website.

We need as many votes as possible to get the honor of representing Brooklyn in the final battle.  So please watch us this Friday night and vote during the show online or through text!

Clip from 1/3/15 Rockwood 3 show

A few days after the new year began, I took the stage at Rockwood’s Stage 3.  It was a very intimate and, frankly, emotional affair.  I debuted some brand new songs, reworked some older ones, and played a rare cover or two.  The amazing Grayson Dantzic captured the evening on film and I put his video of my cover of Bob Dylan’s “I Shall Be Released” up on YouTube.  Hope you enjoy!

Rockwood Residency in November

Nat Osborn Band Rockwood Music Hall November Residency

Last Saturday we kicked off our November residency at Rockwood Music Hall at the stage it all started it, the original Stage 1.  We’re doing one show at each of the three stages this month and next up is Stage 3.  Nat will be performing solo at this intimate, candle-lit venue in a reprise of the very successful show there in August.  If you missed it, here’s a video from that night: “Half Assed Love”

The full band hits Stage 2 on November 26th, the night before Thanksgiving.  Tix to both shows are on sale now:

Stage 3 on 11/15:

Stage 2 on 11/26:

We’re on TV! In Hungary.

Last May we played a show at the incredible A38 in Budapest, a former communist military boat that has been turned into a world class floating music venue.  They interviewed us and shot the show.  This clip aired on Hungarian national television yesterday, check it out!

Euro Tour Update

Greetings from somewhere near the Czech/Slovakian border.  We’re in the van headed to our twelfth show of this tour and it feels like a good time to write a little update of the highlights.

The tour kicked off with a run of three shows in Slovakia, the highlight of which was a headlining slot at the Fuzie Festival in Bojnice, the site of a breathtaking castle:

Your standard Slovakian street complete with fairy tale castle. #natosbornband #europe2014 #slovakia

.  We shot a live video from the show and there are a few songs from the show up on YouTube, including this one of “Siren”:

Rockwood 3 Solo Show Recap

On August 29th Nat played a solo concert at Rockwood Music Hall stage 3.  It was a very intimate and fun evening.  Grayson Dantzic caught much of the show on film and on video
