Hawthorne.

Americana-Folk with a New York edge.

A guy and girl walk into a bar..

Well, actually, they worked at the bar. They found out mid-shift they were both songwriters.

A decade later, Nat Osborn and Aimee Bayles’ project, Hawthorne, has gone through many iterations and line-ups but has remained true to the vision of elegant, story-focused, modern folk songs written to highlight their intertwining voices. Cellist Karna Ray brings his instrumental voice with a unique ability to both break your heart with rich tone and melody improvise wild energetic textures.

The band has recorded a debut full-length album, sold only in physical form at shows, and is currently finishing a new single to be released in Fall 2021.

Hawthorne thrives in intimate live settings like small folk venues or private living room concerts, though the band is certainly at home in larger venues, matching any room with a soaring sound.

Harmony: we live for it.

Singing in tandem, in counterpoint, or unison with a crowd is our life-blood.

Unreleased.

Hawthorne is by it’s nature an analog and in-person experience. We have sold hundreds of copies of our debut album in person at shows, getting to interact with each fan. However, we have next to no music digitally released. This will change in Fall 2021 when a new single will come out alongside the digital release of our debut eponymous album. For now, enjoy “Weight”, the third track on that album.
